The OS War.

Most people are aware that Apple was the first to hit it big for smartphone (iPhone) and tablets (iPad) with their iOS operating system (OS)  and they still remain to be right up there at the top of the market. Shortly after the success of Apple, Google entered the equation with their OS, known as Android. If one would search the web for something like "Android vs iOS", they would get a multitude of results from people bashing Android or saying iOS is for the technological unsavy, and the battle goes on and on.

I personally am a fan of both iOS and Android. They both have certain pro's and con's. A big reason I like Android is their decision to use Flash for web browsing, where iOS does not do this. But by the same token iOS seems to be more user friendly. Personally if I had to choose, as hard as it would be to do so I would go with Android currently. The reason for this being the fact that I enjoy programming. Which in my opinion Android  is so much easier to do so, due to not having to own an Apple computer, which is what is needed to program for iOS. But to be honest I love both Android and iOS. What about you guys? What is your opinion on this ongoing "OS War"?

Apple's Latest!

It just wouldn't be right if I didn't talk about Apple's latest and greatest new product. On October 5th Apple released their newest product in the line of iPhone, called the iPhone 4GS.

Now, this may not be new innovative technology, but it's definitely a big deal. The new iPhone received an upgrade in CPU power as well as a better camera. It's pretty simliar to the iPhone 4, but a little more zip under the hood. The other big news that came with the iPhone 4GS was that it will now be available for Sprint customers, which means it is now available for the big three providers, Sprint, Verizon and AT&T. And perhaphs the biggest news was the soon to be released iOS 5 as well as iCloud. For more on that check out this article. iOS 5

The Kindle Fire

The tablet world hasn't been around for that long. It was first started by Apple a few years ago when they released the Ipad. At the time many people didn't really think their was a need for such devices. The idea was either use a desktop or a laptop, or if portability was a must then use a cell phone. But after the Ipad was introduced people have been loving tablets ever since.

Alright, enough history, on to the good stuff. As some of you may or may not know a new tablet has been brought into the mix of many tablets now available. It was released this past week and is called the Kindle Fire. Why is this such a big deal? For one it's made by Amazon. The makers of the original Kindle E-reader, which was a HUGE success. Another big reason is it only costs $199. Compared to the price tag of most tablet ($500), this is crazy. Granted the Fire is only a 7" screen and is lacking a microphone, but many people believe it will be a huge success. I agree that it will do well. Heck I might even pick one up myself. What do you guys think of the new Kindle Fire. Good? Bad? Dont care?
